We’re excited to announce the latest feature being added to Backup Ninja, a simple, secure, and cost-effective SaaS service you can use to backup the world’s most popular open source databases; locally or in the cloud. Our all new S3 Compatible Storage Provider feature now allows you to have your backups on your favourite S3 compliant cloud storage without any further customization. Want to store your database backups on Backblaze? No problems, add the endpoint and your credentials and you’re good to go. If you have your own internal S3 storage platform, e.g. based on MinIO or OpenIO or something else, you can add it as a storage target in your Backup Ninja account and have the backup agents stream your backups to your own internal S3 service.

Release Highlights

S3 object storage stores data in buckets and is a perfect solution for large volumes of data. In the previous edition, Backup Ninja allows you to backup with S3 compliant storage with the built-in cloud storage providers including AWS, CityCloud, Google, DigitalOcean, SafeSpring, ExoScale, ScanNet and Scaleway. In this feature release, Backup Ninja allows you to have your backup on any S3 compliant storage with just a few clicks, and no complex configuration. All you need is the storage API endpoint and you are set to backup to your cloud storage safely and securely.
